ORIGIN OF THE BIBLE, ETC.

Just a little note for inquirers: Although introduced to God at a very young age I was not raised in church.  While I believed in God Almighty growing up I did not always know Him personally. God intervened in my life one day.  By studying His Word(the Bible) and through prayer, as well as learning from anointed men and women of God, He has both enlightened me to who He is and to His mighty power.  He wants to do the same for everyone. He is no respecter of persons. What He does for one He will do for another.  But you must be willing.

                                    ORIGIN OF THE BIBLE, ETC.

The Word of God(which was originally on parchments) has been the focal point of people for thousands of years. The Bible has been attacked like no other book. While initially it was America’s number one source book it has been all but outlawed from the public square, and if God fearing people don’t stand up and fight for our rights as American citizens, it willed outlawed in our very homes. Make no mistake about it. Ungodly people, with Satan and demons behind the scenes(anti-Christ spirits) intend to wrest the Bible out of the hands of every man, woman, boy, and girl, and if possible, the very hearts of God’s people. Satan knows that if he can get people to stop reading and believing the Word of God(Bible) that he(Satan) is well on his way to his intended goal(which is outright rebellion against the only true God, the actual author of the Bible). *** Remember that the devil is a , “liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44 The devil knows that the Bible is God’s revelation of Himself to mankind, it is a mirrored reflection of who we as people were created to be(in order to know who we really are we must know what God‘s Word says about us), and that we can only find complete victory and understanding of who we are in God’s Word. So it’s clear that if he(the devil) can keep us in darkness that we will stumble through our earthy lives as blind men never reaching the potential for which God created us.
WHAT CAN THE WORD OF GOD DO?

Psalm 107:20 (KJV)

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Knowledge of God’s Word(the Bible) and proper application of it can bring healing and victory over every situation in life.

Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The New Living Translation says it as follows:

“For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.”

The New International Version says:

“For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

You have to understand that the Bible is not like any other book. You see, we read other books, but the Bible reads us. One of the main reasons that people shun the Bible is because they know that they are living in sin and refuse to acknowledge or follow the Bible. They don’t want to repent. Instead they choose to live in disobedience to God. But it doesn’t stop there, they also don’t want others to accept and follow the Bible. Misery loves company. In other words they want other people to stay in sin also.

A NOTE FOR THOSE WHO CHOOSE NOT TO ACCEPT: “If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:15

Psalm 119:11 says, Psalm 119:11 (KJV)

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

You see, the Word of God will help us to escape sin’s ugly grasp upon our lives.

Psalm 119:25 says, “ Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

The Word of God will help us see our way clearly and we won’t have to stumble through life wondering which way is the right way. It will expose the lies which are being taught in so many false religions and cults and help us to steer clear of them. It will help us to help others to escape from error and to save their souls while there is still time.

Origin of Scriptures:

The following verses show the truth about where the Bible originated.

2 Timothy 3:15-16 (NLT)

“You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

2 Peter 1:20-21 (NLT)

Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God.

Romans 15:4 (AMP)

“For whatever was thus written in former days was written for our instruction, that by [our steadfast and patient] endurance and the encouragement [drawn] from the Scriptures we might hold fast to and cherish hope.

We must see that Jesus Christ is the Living Word, He was manifested in the flesh, (that is to say that God actually became a man), and He loves us more than it is humanly possible to understand.

John 1:1, 14: (AMP)

(1) “IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.” (14) “And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we [actually] saw His glory (His honor, His majesty), such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father, full of grace (favor, loving-kindness) and truth.”

When Jesus came into the world He fulfilled the scripture which was spoken about Him hundreds of years in advance. “And the glory (majesty and splendor) of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.” Isaiah 40:5 (AMP)

Remember that Jesus had no beginning. He always was. Abraham, the patriarch, had lived and died in the world long before Jesus appeared in the New Testament. But as God, clearly states in John 8:58, “I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!”

When it comes to prophecy about the coming of the Messiah the Old Testament the book of Micah, says of Jesus, “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Micah 5:2 (KJV)

Isaiah 61:1-11 (NLT)

Good News for the Oppressed

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory. They will rebuild the ancient ruins, repairing cities destroyed long ago. They will revive them, though they have been deserted for many generations. Foreigners will be your servants. They will feed your flocks and plow your fields and tend your vineyards.  You will be called priests of the Lord, ministers of our God. You will feed on the treasures of the nations and boast in their riches. Instead of shame and dishonor, you will enjoy a double share of honor. You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours. “For I, the Lord, love justice. I hate robbery and wrongdoing. I will faithfully reward my people for their suffering and make an everlasting covenant with them. Their descendants will be recognized and honored among the nations. Everyone will realize that they are a people the Lord has blessed.” I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom in his wedding suit or a bride with her jewels. The Sovereign Lord will show his justice to the nations of the world. Everyone will praise him! His righteousness will be like a garden in early spring, with plants springing up everywhere.”

Isaiah 61 was written long before Jesus came to earth. Jesus fulfilled this prophecy about Himself as follows:

Luke 4:14-21 (AMP)

“Then Jesus returned to Galilee, filled with the Holy Spirit’s power. Reports about him spread quickly through the whole region. He taught regularly in their synagogues and was praised by everyone. When he came to the village of Nazareth, his boyhood home, he went as usual to the synagogue on the Sabbath and stood up to read the Scriptures. 17 The scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where this was written: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come. He rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant, and sat down. All eyes in the synagogue looked at him intently. Then he began to speak to them. “The Scripture you’ve just heard has been fulfilled this very day!”

Before John the Baptist was beheaded he sent his disciples to Jesus to ask if He was truly the messiah.

Matthew 11:1-5 (KJV)

1And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities. 2Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, 3And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another? 4Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: 5The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.” *** when Jesus told them to back and inform John of what they saw and heard He knew that this would once and for all convince John that He was and is in fact the Messiah. You see, John was a student of the Bible. So when the his disciples got back to John with this information, although facing death, he rejoiced. For he saw Old Testament scriptures, of what would happen when the True Messiah comes, being fulfilled. SOME OF THOSE ARE AS FOLLOWS:

Isaiah 29:18 (KJV)

“And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

Isaiah 35:4-6 (KJV)

“Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.”

THIS IS A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR THOSE WHO THINK THAT JESUS WAS MERELY A MAN WHO MEANT WELL BUT FAILED. *** I CANNOT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH THAT THEY DID NOT TAKE HIS LIFE BUT HE GAVE HIS LIFE IN OBEDIENCE UNTO DEATH. IT WAS PROPHESIED (“DIVINE AUTHORITY,” WRITTEN ADVANCE) IN THE WORD OF GOD THAT THE TRUE MESSIAH WOULD BE CRUCIFIED.

Isaiah 53 (NLT)

Old Testament Prophecy (divine prediction)

“Who has believed our message? To whom has the Lord revealed his powerful arm?  My servant grew up in the Lord’s presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, nothing to attract us to him. He was despised and rejected — a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all. He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word.  He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down
for the rebellion of my people. He had done no wrongand had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man’s grave. But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands. When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins. I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.”

Matthew 27:39-44 (Amplified Bible)

Old Testament Prophecy fulfilled in the New Testament

“And those who passed by spoke reproachfully and abusively and jeered at Him, wagging their heads, And they said, You Who would tear down the sanctuary of the temple and rebuild it in three days, rescue Yourself from death. If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross. In the same way the chief priests, with the scribes and elders, made sport of Him, saying, He rescued others ]from death; Himself He cannot rescue from death. He is the King of Israel? Let Him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in and acknowledge and cleave to Him. He trusts in God; let God deliver Him now if He cares for Him and will have Him, for He said, I am the Son of God. And the robbers who were crucified with Him also abused and reproached and made sport of Him in the same way.”

Jesus loves you.
