SALVATION IS FOR ALL
Bringing souls into the Kingdom is our chief goal. For this is the very reason Jesus came into the world. In order to accomplish this we must pray and get the Word out
We want the world to know that salvation is offered to all people. I have had the pleasure of sharing Christ with so many people and when I ask the question; are we all God’s children? So often the answer is yes. I point out that this is not true. Unless you are ‘born again’ it is impossible to know and serve the only true God. Because we are born with the sin nature, or what is sometimes referred to as the ‘Adamic nature’- we cannot please God. God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. “When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, your lives will produce these evil results: sexual immorality, impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, idolatry, participation in demonic activities, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, divisions, the feeling that everyone is wrong except those in your own little group, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other kinds of sin. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.”(Galatians 5:19-21 NLT) By contrast, “When the Holy Spirit controls our lives, “He will produce this kind of fruit in us; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23 NLT)
Living in Darkness
In one of Jesus’ encounters with those who opposed Him, he told them that they were unable to understand what He was saying because, “You are the children of your father the Devil.” (John 8:44 NLT) When we are outside of God’s Kingdom, i.e., living in darkness, we cannot comprehend the things of God. They could not see that Jesue was in fact, God, because they were spiritually blind. The problem is that, “The god of this age(Satan) has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corinthians 4:4 NIV)
Living in the Light
In Jesus’ encounter with Peter and the other disciples He, “Asked his disciples, who do people say that the Son of man is? “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets. Then Jesus asked, “Who do you say that I am?” Peter responded by saying, “you are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus said, “You are blessed, Simon, son of John, because my father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being.” (Matthew 16:13-17 NLT)
Conclusion:
Those who are not ‘saved’ or ‘born again’ cannot see the real Jesus, while those who are ‘saved’ or ‘born again’ can.We can only come to the true God by faith. “So, you see, it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6 NLT) And we can only do this because of His grace ( kindness, goodness, mercy, unmerited favor,). As His Word says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) Yes God, Who is love, had a master plan, i.e., “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 NIV) And isn’t this wonderful? We can only come to Jesus Christ because of God, the Father. As His word says, “no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.” (John 6:65) So the only way to make it to heaven is to receive salvation or to be ‘born again’ and that only through the blood shed of Jesus Christ. You see God, Jesus Christ, gave His life on the Cross to die for our sins so that we can escape hell and go to heaven. You must believe in His atoning death on the Cross for sinners, and that He rose again, on the third day. You must believe that He did it for you personally. Right now, if you feel the need to receive Christ as your Savior it is beause God, the Father, is drawing yuu by the Holy Spirit. Don’t let this moment pass you by. Pray the following prayer out loud. The only requiremsnt is that you must mean it with all of heart.
Climax
Repeat these words out loud as though Jesus were right in the room with you because He actually is.
The prayer:
Lord Jesus, I believe that you died on the Cross for me, a sinner, and that you rose again on the third day. Please forgive me for all of my sins. I repent, I turn away from all sin. Please come into my heart and live. I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior, and as Master of my life. Thank you so much, in Your Name, I pray, Amen
